Time to open the pages of a good book and get children reading!
National Share-a-Story Month* was created as everyone has a favourite book or stories to tell. This month will help children share them with others.
Without doubt, the best feedback we receive from customers, are about our Usborne Illustrated Stories collections. There is absolutely something for every child, no matter their age or interest.
Parents tell us how at least one collection is at their child’s bedside at all times and how handy it is to have just the one padded story book to take away on trips. Whether it is the classic fairy tales from the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson or classic prose re-told for a younger audience from Dickens and Shakespeare there is a fabulous choice.
Alice in Wonderland, Robin Hood, Arabian Nights and Greek Myths. Animal stories, bedtime stories, stories from Around the World … The Book Mums have them all!
We also have a larger format suitable for our younger fans. These have a higher picture to text ratio and a condensed re-telling of the story and wall-to-wall vibrant illustration.

*The month is organised by the Federation of Children’s Book Groups. The charity was founded in 1965 with the aim to promote children’s interest in books and reading, getting involved with libraries, schools and playgroups.
